DJ Neema’s BIO

DJ Neema combines classic turntablism techniques with modern finger drumming, sample chopping skills and stems to create unique and undeniably danceable sets. Full of clever mashups and transitions that keep the energy rising the whole time!

He started DJing parties and as a UT student then honed his Mic skills as a Television anchor and reporter after graduation. When he left TV he started DJing weddings and was an instant hit with wedding guests and party planners.

He started Bat City Beats in 2017 and it quickly became his full time business and career!

When he’s not DJing private events or spending time with his wife and 2 kids you can catch him rocking downtown cruises along Lady Bird Lake, and occasionally on dirty sixth (Bijou, Buckwild, VooDoo Room)

Neema’s 2024 Quick Mix

The beginning of this mix was inspired by an Indian fusion wedding where he was asked to blend Bollywood sounds with Houston rap classics. Live blending the beats from H-town standards with Indian Melodies. He then delves into several other genres while creeping that tempo up to ramp up the energy. He can do this with any of YOUR fav genres using music theory, stems, and finger drumming to recreate live what remixers do in the studio. This mix exemplifies the Bat City Beats philosophy of “PUT A BEAT ON IT!” The beat is always there. It changes but never stops or gets off beat. This is the strategy we use to keep YOUR dance floor full!

  • Bat city beats with DJ Neema absolutely crushed it at our wedding. 10/10! Our ceremony went off perfectly. We did have the officiant wear a lav mic and we opted for doing our vows with a handheld mic that they provided which was a great move in my opinion. The audio sounded nice and clear for our guests which let us all be present for this important moment. Cocktail hour was smooth and Neema’s choices were perfect! So many guests were commenting on the music and how they were loving the vibe of our wedding. Reception introduction was something we discussed on our last call with Neema before the wedding and we asked for him to bring the hype. AND HE DID!!! He was one of the easiest vendors to work with and executed this night so well. He kept the dance floor packed all night!! From a type A person- if you are struggling on which DJ to go with, you will NOT go wrong using Bat City Beats. We had reception entrance dances for the bridal party and he was able to cut songs, loop them if needed and stay on track.   • DJ Neema was the absolute STAR of our wedding– I can't express just how thrilled I am we went with DJ Neema and the amazing Tammy for our wedding! We had a mix of Bollywood & Western music, and DJ Neema absolutely KILLED IT. Every single friend of ours was on the dance floor absolutely tearing it up for the entire evening (even some of the older crowd danced the whole night). We had a conga line, my husband and I got to crowdsurf, and it was the absolute best party we had ever been to.   • "NEEMA UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT PERIOD. From the ceremony music (perfectly done) to the intro song, and the whole reception he was on TOP of it. We literally did not leave the dance floor all night. And it was full literally the whole night. Dozens of people told us that it was the best dancing ever at a wedding, the most lit dance floor, and the best DJ they'd ever heard at a wedding.
